About
Personal chef and cooking instructor in Austin, TX. My specialty covers foods from South America to North America. I'm motivated by the stories behind cooking and expressing that story into the flavor of the food. In 2017, my brother and I created Yuyo Peruano restaurant as a celebration of my culinary immersion throughout South America, where I connected with the people and the culinary community from Bolivia, Peru, Argentina, and Uruguay. I was recognized by the James Beard Foundation with a Best Chef nomination in 2019. Due to covid Yuyo closed with many other opportunities to cook for many more than I could have imagined through CookUnity.

Tortilla-Coated Swai
Very delicious. Only thing was the cooking instructions indicate to separate the fish and eat the salad cold - I just put it all in the oven and it was delicious

Love Verde & Amt of Chicken. Rice in this was even really good. This with cheese instead of chicken & I could eat every day.

Mexican Chorizo Quesadilla
I expected more, the middle of this was ok but there was so much excess tortilla just not filled. The flavor was lacking. But this was one that that spoiled first delivery. I was to have this continuing problem with Cook Unity.

Peruvian-Style Chicken Chow Mein
Pleasantly surprised with this meal. Wasn’t sure I like Chow Mein before this. Lost twice due to the seal on plastic failed.

Cheese Enchiladas in Beef Ancho Chile Sauce
It’s good for ready made but it’s not as Tasty as Amy’s $6 red enchiladas, not nearly as god as the green chile here. Wish you’d make cheese w/green chile too.
